  2. Suggestions Sam Ink

It was the cleaning cartridges? Only way I know of to take out the damper gaskets. Still should not have ruined all those components. Does it smell any different than the OEM Roland cleaning solution? To me Roland, Mimaki, and Mutoh cleaning solutions smell identical. I'd clean my Roland...

As others have said make sure fire codes are met allowing you to leave vehicles in the space overnight or for days. Some years back I found the perfect spot until they said vehicles would have to pushed out of the building every night.

  11. Looking for a new printer....need your opinions

Said it before I'll say it again. Find the dealer in your town or as close as possible to your shop. No matter the brand you want parts and a competent tech close by. To be honest if you're comfortable with Mimaki get another one. We have one in the lab at school at it runs day in day out...
  12. News So Long Latex 792 and LX610 Inks...

My 11 year old Roland recently went to it's new owner. At some point it will need a CK head, but that's it. Running the wheels off a Mutoh now. Why? I take my own advice. Buy from the dealer in your town/area.

If the printer is performing well and making money why be forced to update?
  14. Am I being greedy??

When the client starts dictating price it's already over. I've been there and wasted more time trying to get better pricing than the client was worth. Best scenario is your client gets banged by their new vendor and comes back with their tail between their legs.
  15. Extra large poster frames

Client wants to hang 48"x72" poster on the wall. I checked the web and found several vendors that make frames, but don't know if they're any good. Would appreciate any insight. Already thought about PhotoTex, or direct print on foam core then hang with french cleat.

  20. Summa not cutting properly

Didn't mention if it was random or repeatable(same spot every time). Blade holder or carriage may be loose. Could be an issue with the bearings in blade holder. Just because something is new doesn't exclude it from being broken.
