That's what you should feel. When you pull the syringe, it creates a vacuum and the ink has to fill that vacuum. The nozzles on the head are so small that it takes a while for it to catch up. If you just pull the syringe and hold it there, eventually the ink will fill the vacuum and you won't...
I have a local place that sells banners at $3 per square 13 oz with sewn hem and printed. May not last 10 years but won't fail within 1 either. I guess it just depends on how long you want it to last. In my experience people don't need banners to last for massive amounts of time unless they are...
I'm not sure how anyone can get more than $3 per square on a banner when searching Google gives you about 100 places that will do it for $1. Are people seriously paying $48 for a 2' x 3' banner? I completely understand the business side and why your pricing needs to be higher to cover for...
Not a lot of people use the JV400 and there aren't a lot of trained techs either. I don't have the tech manual for that machine but it uses the same heads as the JFX200 which I do have. On that machine Error 90d is a head parameter error which means the head is not plugged in or it's not...
Do some experimenting. That printer will print on all kinds of stuff. Coro, Aluminum, Glass etc. Some materials work better than others and some don't work at all but if you have a local sign supply you should be able to call them and they can educate you on what products they recommend.
It has been a very long time since I worked on a JV3 but below are some notes I have on switching the ink type on the JV3. Hope it helps!
SHUT DOWN the JV3
PRESS key < and > AT THE SAME TIME while powering the machine on
When the device is ready, PRESS THE "END" key 1 time.

You just have to find some new chips for those inks. Check out a 3rd party ink supplier or ask your local Mimaki dealer real nice. Then just switch the chip and the machine will think it's a new cartridge.
I'm not sure what Latex ink cleaning solution is comprised of but I'm pretty sure it's...
I sell Specialty Materials brand of heat transfer and a lot of my customers who make jerseys will screen print the team logo but use the heat transfer for the numbers and names.
Error 30 is a general operation error. Usually it means you are trying to do a test print and one or more of the ink cartridges are empty so it prevents you from printing until it is full again.
It's an option but if you go with the white setup you might as well get it. When using white ink, 2 channels on 1 of the heads don't get used so you might as well put clear in them. Otherwise they put a magenta and cyan bottle in as a place holder and that ink just goes to waste.
Looks like a 10 year old sign to me. I don't know of any vinyl combination that claims to be able to last over 10 years. Time for a new sign! I have a large sign outside of my building that was printed and laminated about 8 years ago. It looks very similar what yours does. With ours it's more...
US cutter is considered a budget brand but it's not horrible. They can be very good startup machines. Also, don't be fooled by the US part of their name. They are 100% Chinese. 34" should be good. Most people start with a 24" and move up from there as needed.
I have run into this a bunch of times as a field tech. As soon as you put 3rd party ink in your machine, the manufacturer can decline to honor the warranty of any ink related parts such as the print head. Any other part has to be covered such as main boards and other electrical components but...
If this happened out of the blue, all of them don't work, and putting new cartridges in also doesn't work, the junction board might be damaged. It's the board all of the ink chips connect to. When that board fails it will fail to read the smart cards.
That's an encoder strip issue. I would clean the strip with alcohol and air dust the sensor. If that doesn't fix the issue, you probably need a new strip and/or sensor.
