Hah I'm in the identical situation. Only 1 day left to decide on the XR due to the $6k off. Hmmm.
I'm thinking the Tru-vis inks are a little more affordable 500ml for less than 440ml. (no cartridge)
Was told the LED's are very convenient.
Dryer fan setup would be extra on the VG but I think the...
Was in exact same dilemma only I'm not getting a trade in but the $6000 off the EJ was tempting. My Roland tech told me the EJ is way to fast for wraps and best suited for Banners...due to too much ink too fast.
That being said, if you're just doing banners, maybe it's the ideal printer for...
I found the best way is to capture customers who are looking for you. You do that by putting all your marketing budget into your Website SEO and AD Campaigns...or hire a great company to do it for you. I don't spend a dime on marketing. I don't go looking for customers, they come looking for me...
A) If ink costs are going to weight that heavily on your choice of printer, you are NOT pricing your products right.
B) If you think HP has less maintenance than a Roland, do more research.
C) If you like plastic machines go Mutoh or HP, if you like sturdy metal machines go Roland or Mimaki.

Run the Roland Color System Library Print and stick it to your wall. You can pick from the colors it shows.
Traffic orange, safety orange, and hunter orange (blaze orange) are all spot colors that you cannot really get from the cmyk spectrum.
But there are some oranges that are close to traffic...
Guess who still owns the domain knifelesstape.com ...I'll give you a hint. It's me.
Wonder if 3M will be interested since Knifeless tech systems wasn't.
Nope...nada. Posted on Craigslist too...not a hit. I pay a guy from another shop overtime wages for the few hours he is able to come here after he leaves his day job wrapping...seems only fair since he's already put a days work in. He like the money and I like him knocking some wrapping out...
I was given a free roll of it a long time ago. Still have have the roll because once I tried Knifeless tape....I happily paid more for it.
I'll let you make your own conclusion...but saving a little money on a tool that is causing all of you to get frustrated doesn't make sense.
The expensive brand mentioned have a really thick buffer that tends to lose it's softness within a few wraps. It also cannot bend since it's teflon.
Here is what is ALWAYS in my pouch. I make my own micro-suede buffer strips but they are pretty much identical to the "Monkey Strips" available.
I...
Title says it...Need an accomplished Wrap installer in the Bluegrass (Central) Kentucky region.
I know this won't work...but I do believe in miracles and there could be one out here just waiting for the call haha.
The local ones are all taken.
Fingers crossed...Thank you.
Dave Kentucky...
Lay the reflective strip down onto a scrap strip of Wrap Vinyl first...then you have all the benefits of the wrap vinyl adhesive while installing dry.
