well the first questions are, is it the same ripped file. did you make any file changes and re rip it.
are your print heads in good shape.
did you do any color calibrations
the 8000 does have the laser built in, i never use it, never needed to.
check both flexi and the cutter to make sure its set up on both ends to use the right tool.
you can set it up so flexi will override the settings on the machine end. but checking both will make sure no matter what settings...
there are a few tricks to getting your cutter to read shiny materials.
like putting scotch tape over the reg marks to dull the shine. covering them with regular vinyl with reg marks printed on it.
using a matte lam.
basically you want to dull the area and make sure your printing your reg marks...
was this with in your 30" area of the stuff you normally run, was it outside that area?
if you run a set size for a while your rollers will change size with in that are then when you try to run something bigger it can give you issues.
you could try 3m primer see if that will help.
i go over sealant all the time and its hit or miss on if it will even stick.
you would be better off setting up a design with a planned design break at the window seams
like instead of a solid bar, do bars with rounded corners at the window breaks.
i would think its more affected by total ram, your gpu now days has its own ram that can assist. but your gpu affects rendering directly. so if you do 3d modeling, you need more gpu power
So i have an HP 360. its been running roughly 2-3 years now.
i just got a message about needing a maintenance #3.
which looking at everything it comes with it doesn't look like a bad deal to have done.

i would start with turning your heat down. it could be curing and warping the material to much. i run 3m 180-10 controltec all day long with no head strikes. maybe 3 a year due to something i did wrong
is it when the print starts or farther down the line.
you could turn your heat down, turn your vacuum up.
add a weight to the lead edge, feed out more material to start
the next question is what material are you using. the electric eye has trouble with reflective and some high gloss stuffs.
also i had a problem with mine not reading once. tried everything only thing that worked for me was to do a factory reset of the machine.
